It’s an absolute honor when families drive an hour or more for me to take newborn photos of their new babies. Many of my newborn photography clients come from Colorado Springs and throughout Southern Colorado. They travel to my studio so we can create beautiful images of their precious babies.
I had the joy of photographing two sweet newborn twin girls a few months ago. Their mom booked me while they were still in the NICU and we waited a bit for them to be released. When they were both healthy enough to go home they came down from Colorado Springs for newborn photographs.
They are from a military family and a twist of fate had them born here in Colorado instead of in Europe at their next post. We wanted to incorporate their family’s travels into their newborn portraits, so we set up a cute world map/suitcase set. Their last initial is “W” so we included that as well, and faced them towards Europe and the country they were moving to.
Throughout the girls’ newborn session their headbands and accessories were coordinated, both across their shots together and their individual photos. With twins, I like to make sure that we get photographs of them together and separate so they have those memories to look back on when they are older.
These two little gals couldn’t have been any more different. Twin A was fair skinned, had very little hair and loved showing me her beautiful eyes. Her sister had an olive skin tone, lots of hair and was very sleepy. It was so neat to see the differences between them. One thing they had in common, they both loved being next to one another.
