Sweet Mr. Sterling was a last minute booking in October and I’m so glad his mama called me for newborn portraits! Before his session I asked his mom about color preferences, etc. and she requested some blues and greys for his newborn photos. She also let me know that they wanted to bring an old milk crate from his nursery. The crate was absolutely perfect for Sterlings photos (I’ve been on the hunt for one like it since!).
I love how he had a little scrunched up brow during several poses. Every baby is so very unique, and that little brow was just part of Sterling.
Sterling was a good sleeper and let us work through quite a few poses and setups. I think he loved to be wrapped up and snuggled the most. He was very content during fur and basket shots and looked so sweet and cozy.
Sterling slept right through bean bag photos too, we wrapped him again for a few and then put on an adorable pair of baby blue jeans, and a cute little golf cap. The little golf cap was perfect for him!
After Sterling’s newborn portraits, we also took some family photos because it’s so important to capture this time in the lives of the entire family! I always encourage moms and dads to get in the photos whenever possible.
Thank-you to Sterling’s parents for trusting me with their memories! It was such an honor!
