When clients come to me with totally new ideas and themes for their baby’s first birthday cake smash sessions it’s always an exciting challenge to create the perfect set for them. For this session, the request was a pumpkin themed cake smash for an adorable fall baby.The color scheme was pink, purple, orange and gold. Mom and dad also requested a pumpkin shaped cake for their “Little Pumpkin”.
This pumpkin themed cake smash actually ended up being one of my favorites from 2016 because it was different and fun and the colors ended up going really well together. I made the banner to coordinate with the little one’s tutu, and painted a variety of pumpkins in shades of pink, purple and gold. The pumpkin shaped cake with pink and purple flowers was ordered from Aileen’s Bakery in Pueblo and was absolutely gorgeous. It didn’t last long with my enthusiastic cake smasher though!
The cake was an absolute hit, and we got tons of adorable, cake covered, smiling photos!
