Beaux’s Lumberjack Themed Cake Smash
Every year there ends up being one cake smash theme that I think will be “the theme” for the year. Last year pink and gold were really in and trendy and this year it seems like lumberjack themed cake smashes are going to be the thing!
Just take a walk around your favorite local hobby store, or home decor shop. You’ll find lots of red and black buffalo plaid, rustic accents, burlap, etc. Lots of moms are asking for more rustic themes this year, and I absolutely love it!
Beaux’s mom made the first request of me for a lumberjack themed cake smash. For Beaux’s cake smash we brought in a lots of that buffalo plaid, a canvas tent, and some cute little evergreen trees.
The cake had to match the theme so Aileen’s Cake Decor here in Pueblo made it look like a tree stump.
For his first birthday portraits Beaux wore blue jeans, a wild one shirt, and the cutest little buffalo plaid hat. During his cake smash Beaux was all about moving! He wanted to crawl right of the set, so we had to chase him around quite a bit. Much like other babies, Beaux loved bath time and while in there he gave us lots of great smiles.
