They say that what you do on New Year’s Day will determine how the rest of your year goes. I’m not really sure who “they” are, nor am I entirely convinced that the theory would actually hold water. After all, I spent all New Year’s Day last year laying on the couch watching Netflix and certainly didn’t spend all year last year binging “Scandal”. If there’s anything at all to it though, this year I’m going to have a wonderful year full of sweet and easy newborns thanks to Miss Cora.
Cora’s mama contacted me a few days before Christmas about a newborn session. Cora was a little over a month old and I wanted to get her in as soon as possible so they came in on New Year’s Day.
Despite being nearly six weeks old at that point, sweet Cora was the most easy going baby girl. She slept like an absolute dream, and snuggled into every pose I put her in. Her parents requested a neutral color scheme and it was such a fun change! I pulled out all the creams and tans for Cora’s session and I absolutely love how it all came together.
Maybe it was her age, maybe it was a New Year’s good luck charm, but sweet Cora just absolutely rocked this session!
For moms with slightly older newborns, I want you to know that we can still capture gorgeous photos of your baby. If you have a baby who is a few weeks or even a month or more old and you missed out on newborn photos in those first 14 days, please get in touch. We’ll work together to capture these memories for your family. My studio is located in Pueblo, but I offer newborn photography to clients from Colorado Springs, Trinidad, Canon City and even Denver.
