In November, I held a Cutest Baby Bump contest on my Facebook page. I was lucky to get quite a few entries, and the mamas all worked really hard to gather votes to win a free newborn session.
Michael’s mama was one of the entrants, and she submitted an adorable baby bump photo. She came in second place in a close race and decided to book me for her newborn session anyway.
Fast forward a few months and sweet baby Michael made his appearance. He came right in the middle of a huge rush of little girls, and it was a nice change of pace to switch to a boyish theme for a session.
Before every newborn session I send out a questionnaire to my clients to ask if there’s any colors they’d prefer to use or if there’s any special items that they’d like to include in their baby’s session. Michaels mom e-mailed me back and let me know that they wanted blues and grays and that they’d be bringing a special stuffed elephant that they’d like to get a photo of him with. Even though it was as big as him, he snuggled right in next to his special elephant. I think this photo is just about the cutest thing!
Michael stayed happy and slept through pretty much his entire session. We were able to get some really great images of him. The photo with the little bear hat ended up being one of his parents’ favorites, and mine too!
I’m so glad that Michael’s mom entered my Cutest Baby Bump Contest and chose to bring him to me for his newborn photos!
