Kasen was the runner up in my Cutest Kids Contest in April. His mom brought in tons of votes on his photo which came in a very close second!
I was thrilled to get to work with Kasen after the contest! Kasen’s mom and I talked back and forth and when asked what kind of outfits she’d like to dress him in for his children’s photography session she decided on a “cowboy” look and a “nerd” look. It’s not often that I get to plan for two completely different styles for one kiddo, so I really enjoyed getting everything ready for Kasen’s session. At not quite a year and a half old this little guy had such a fun personality and LOVED the props!
The vintage horse in the cowboy photos was mine when I was a little girl. It was refinished by my mother and step-dad and fixed on a stand to use for my little clients and Kasen loved it! He was enthralled by the horse and kept running back over to it after we moved on to the next setup.
One thing I can usually predict as a children’s photographer- if there is an accessory that a one year old (or two year old) can remove, they will! Hats, sunglasses and ties usually end up pulled off and thrown. The nerd photos were supposed to be complete with “nerd glasses” but little Mr. was having none of that! His cute little bow-tie actually stayed on though!
Kasen’s session was so much fun and we ended up with some adorable photos! Thank-you to his mama who brought him in to see me!
