I’ve been seeing a lot of retro themed sessions floating around the internet lately. A quick peek on Etsy shows some of the most popular first birthday items are totally “groovy!” I’m really hoping that these 70’s themed sessions will keep popping up because they are just so much fun!
I was so excited when I finally got my first request for a Groovy One first birthday session. I’ve been waiting so patiently! Even better, my client requested a more muted color scheme with a touch of boho, and gave me free rein on creating the set. Mama sent me photos of baby girl’s outfits and I custom colored all of the pieces to make sure they’d match perfectly. I love when clients trust the process! It’s so rewarding to see their faces when they step into the studio and see their baby’s set for the first time! For this session I incorporated peace signs, word and flower cutouts and of course a vintage bus. A few grass pieces and wooden beads helped steer us ever so slightly towards boho. Sparkly gold bead curtains on a pink backdrop were the finishing touches.
Little Miss wore the cutest outfits, and even daisy sunglasses! I know her mama must have had the most fun shopping!
