Maxton is a super adorable, chunky monkey, smiley little guy who just celebrated his first birthday with me. I do a lot of cake smash sessions, but for parents who don’t want the mess baby’s first birthday is still a cause for photos! First birthday photos can be themed just like a cake smash and can be just as fun! Maxton’s mom opted for a customized session minus the cake.
We stuck with a neutral backdrop for all of Maxton’s first birthday photos and we switched up accessories and props for a variety of looks. When his mom sent pictures of his outfits and birthday party invitations I knew we had to do a black/white/grey session for Maxton with pops of blue mixed in. A chalkboard rag banner spelling out his name added a fun personalized touch.
Maxton’s mama and I ended up acting quite foolish to get his cute little smiles, but smile he did! His grins lit up the room!
