William has been coming to see me since he was a little baby barely able to sit up on his own. Every year for his birthday photos his mom chooses an outfit for him, and he chooses one or two of his own. I think it’s so sweet that his parents let him choose something that makes him happy! Capturing the joy on his face when he dresses in his “outfit” (okay, it’s always a costume!) makes me laugh and smile right along with him. This year I got to do his 4th birthday portraits and he had big plans!
This year we incorporated a couple of vintage toys like a box fort building kit in his birthday portraits. An old tricycle, and a vintage scooter were the perfect props for him.
We also used a fun antique ladder, at William’s request and a white chair.
My favorite part of William’s session was when he brought out his costumes. He really wanted a Star Wars themed photo, so we used a spaceship corridor backdrop. William had fun being silly with a light saber. William’s mom tells me he’s been trying to convince his Nana that she needs one of his Star Wars photos!
Our final set for Willam’s 4th birthday portraits featured a flight suit, and a space themed backdrop. William looked so cute all dressed up, and he even pretended to fly a spaceship. It has been so fun watching William grow up!
