As a newborn photographer I’m always on the look out for cute new props and newborn photography ideas. If you’ve ever been to T.J. Maxx here in Pueblo, you might have noticed a crazy lady sticking her forearm in a basket. Yeah, that was me; I was just checking to see if a baby would fit in it! My office is full of cute little things for my smallest subjects, and I’m lucky to have a husband who’s become rather handy. He’s really kind of a newborn photographer’s dream, always tinkering and making new things for me to use in your darling baby’s first photos.
I think his latest creation, a handmade wooden airplane, is perfect for the little guys! Of course, he was putting the finishing touches on it while I was shooting my most recent newborn boy so I don’t have a photo of it in use. I’m semi-patiently awaiting the birth of a couple of new boys (and I’m sure their mamas are too)! In the meantime, I figured I’d just show off the newest addition to my prop stash anyway.
