Getting to see babies as newborns, and then again for their milestone sessions really cements the fact that babies grow so very quickly! What is a milestone session? It’s a special session for babies to capture their special milestones. We often plan these around the time baby starts tummy time (3-4 months), then sitting (6 months), and finally standing (9 months). Milestone sessions are a wonderful way to capture baby’s first year.
It seems like Lyric was just in the studio for her newborn session, but she’s already more than six months old! Her mama recently brought her back in for her six month milestone session. Like with most babies, I was surprised by how much she had already grown and changed!
Since it was nearly Christmas, we decided to do some Christmas themed photos. With a red and green outfit, and a floral headband Lyric was quite festive! She sometimes needed just a little bit of help staying steady while sitting so we used a variety of props. In typical baby fashion, she really loved the shiny red Christmas ornaments!
We also used some flowery backdrops to match some adorable new rompers. All of the outfits Lyric wore during her session are available in the studio for use during milestone sessions! A wooden bowl, and a cute rounded basket helped Lyric stay steady when she started getting wobbly. She gave me the most beautiful smile!
